Purple Comfort Afghan Swap

Making this purple afghan for a swap in one of my crochet groups!

Piano Keys

Here is an afghan I am working on for a friend. I wish I could make it faster as it is so much fun. It has challenged my skills as a crocheter, as it has a cable stitch and some other textured parts to it. I would make it again in a heartbeat, though! Wouldn't it be pretty in other colors, too?

Pelican Pillow Finished!

The Pelican Pillow is finally done! I love the edging of it. Braided crochet all the way around it. However, I will be sure to make sure and plan for lots of time to do this type of edging. Took my at least 4 hours to complete this edge.

Lacy baby ghan

My most recent finish! I thoroughly enjoyed making this little afghan. I used Caron Simply Soft pink yarn. I will most definitely do another like this at some point.

The pillow is coming along well. It ended up being much bigger than the pattern stated. However, it helps if you check gauge (which I hate doing!). I forget that I need to use a smaller hook! The pillow form was 21X21 and fits perfectly. I did not finish this before the pineapple afghan was given to the recipient they were both supposed to go for. However, it is a wedding present and I still have time. I just have to finish a tiny bit and it will be done.

Hats for Charity

I made these hats for a charity. This is the first time I have made hats and I had so much fun I couldn't stop! I just kept going and going... just like the Energizer batteries!

I also learned a new stitch. The reverse single crochet! I have always been afraid of that stitch for some reason. I found myself fascinated with it and wanting to keep doing the stitch. I will definitely do more with the reverse single crochet.

Pelican Pillow

I am making this pillow to go with the Pineapple Afghan. It is relatively easy, with just single crochet and changing colors according to a graph. My only problem I struggle with is hiding the threads without making it look weird and without them coming out and then the whole thing coming apart.

Lacy Blue Pineapples

I took this pattern from Crochet World. It seemed to be perfect for the purpose I have in mind for it (can't tell yet, it is a secret!)

These pineapples are really fast and easy to crochet. It has been a lot of fun and very hard to put down.
I have put the first edgings on and they are turning out really gorgeous!

First Towel Toppers

These are the first towel toppers I have crocheted right on the towel itself. It was a lot of fun and I think they will make some great fast gifts.

Little Itty Bitty flowers

These were not my own pattern. I did use a pattern, but I love them! They are fun to use and I have lots of ideas of what to do with them or embellish them. What are some of your ideas?

Here it is! The finished product! The recipient was very excited and she even displayed it at her wedding open house! I was very proud! I love the feeling of finishing projects and giving them away!

Making "Blanket Blue"

Making Blanket Blue
The stitch makes a bubble

Michael's "Blanket Blue"

After four years, my son's blanket that was crocheted for him by a friend, is in shambles, hanging by its threads only. I have tried to crochet several blankets to take its place, but none of them would do. Finally, I broke down and crocheted the same exact blanket for him! I finished it tonight and he took his other blanket and put it in the garbage, whew! It was so sweet to see him cuddle with it as he went to bed tonight!

Purple Passion Complete

I finished Purple Passion and after a month of waiting, I was finally able to give it to my niece, Britanie and her husband Michael! It was so neat!

A Jenny Thing

Feeling kind of silly. I am not computer savvy and as I was trying to become a follower of one blog, I accidently became a follower for myself! Not sure how to take it off. So, it will stay there. Lol!

This is my most current project I am working on. It is called Purple Passion. I am crocheting it for my niece who is getting married next week.

My first post!

Hi and welcome to my blog! I am very excited to get started, but have spent the last several days wondering how to even to get going. I am currently working on several projects, both crochet and cross stitch. Plus, I have pics of projects I have completed in the past. I will share those in the next week as I get time. Well, no time like the present to start sharing!
