Hello everyone!  What a great time for crochet projects and cross stitch as well. Over the last couple years, I have crocheted many projects and have not posted them. I will post them over the next week or two, along with stories about each one. I will also keep you up to date on my new venture of taking the Crochet Teacher's Certification Course. This will be an adventure of a lifetime.  I am very excited to share all this with you and to get a move on with this original blog.  Please join me once again. I hope to add some funny things about crochet as well as links to videos, and even make my own videos.  Ideas and conversation from you are always welcome!

I have not been around for a long time. I have several items of crochet I completed and not shared. But the good thing is I have pictures of them. So I will get to finding those and put them up.  I am currently working on my most ambitious project. It is an afghan for my niece who is getting married and each motif has a bead sewn into the middle of it.  It is called "Chrystal Afghan" . I can't wait to share it. 
On the subject of cross stitch, I have started a project with Jesus and Mary Magdelene at his resurrection. Nothing to really share as it is just a bunch of colors so far, but as it progresses, I will start to take pictures.

Here is an afghan I am working on for a friend. I wish I could make it faster as it is so much fun. It has challenged my skills as a crocheter, as it has a cable stitch and some other textured parts to it. I would make it again in a heartbeat, though! Wouldn't it be pretty in other colors, too?

Pelican Pillow Finished!

The Pelican Pillow is finally done! I love the edging of it. Braided crochet all the way around it. However, I will be sure to make sure and plan for lots of time to do this type of edging. Took my at least 4 hours to complete this edge.
